Long time no see!

Let's catch up over coffee.  Oil, 8 x8 inches (20 x 20 cm)
This little conversation piece (literally) was rather fun to do because of the padded and shiny jackets. The idea came from watching people in the winter sunshine of Innsbruck one year.  It was executed from my notes and using just a few colours:

Ivory Black
Titanium White
Cadmium Red
Yellow Ochre
Cadmium Yellow
Plus a tiny amount of Crimson Alizarin and Ultramarine Blue.

1 April 2017: Announced by Light Space & Time online gallery that this painting has been awarded Special Merit in the Landscape competition.  667 entries from 26 countries.

A Diversion from the Norm!

Painting the Town - acrylic on heavy waterclour paper 10 x 8.5 inches
I have a mount that has been waiting to be filled for quite a number of years.  I dug it out and then imagined what in my very long list of ideas might fit it.  So I decided on an idea then thought perhaps I should try something quite different.  The body poses were the challenge.  Perhaps this might start a series of working people. I already have another subject in mind for when I've time to experiment.
