Wallop Artists' annual exhibition, Wiltshire

I was unable to exhibit last year but this time round I sold 2 prints and this original oil.  Also, I'm told there was a toss up between me and another artist being the public's choice but I lost by 1 vote!

The Devil finding work for idle hands!

This subject just asked to be painted and posting it the day after Jeremy Corbyn's election as leader of the Labour Party was purely coincidental - honest!  A couple of of the sheep have iPods and, yes, one has a blue (Conservative) tie!  Diane Abbott is the driver.

A sale today!

This little painting has just gone to a new home in Arizona.  Sold through Daily Paintworks' auction. I have a larger slightly different version which is 12 x 12 inches (30 x 30 cm) available through my website.  A fascinating subject to paint as it shows so much of old China.  A traditional wood-fronted shop can be seen on the right.

Botany Bay, Kent

At last a painting done after a long gap!  This bay normally has chalk deposits in the shallows and rather pristine sand.  Sometimes the chalk lands higher up the beach and I thought I would capture that to make it more lively.  Painted with painting knives.

Featured Artist at Art in The City exhibition
I will be the Featured Artist at this exhibition and showing paintings and prints.  This is an annual event of high quality work at affordable prices from a number of mainly professional artists working in several disciplines.   Painters' Hall is a few yards from Mansion House tube station.

Now the busy autumn begins!  It's the same every year and I'm never ready.  September to November are extremely busy with the last 3 exhibitions of the year.  The first of the autumn is this local one in which I will have paintings and prints.

I've been travelling in Norway and have just had a weekend in wonderful Cumbria so lots of ideas - just need time to paint!
