Rust and Wrinkles

Another marine subject finished today.  I spent last May bank holiday at Hastings exploring the old town and The Stade with its busy fishing industry.  Beautiful day and not enough time.

This old fellow caught my eye and I attempted to chat with him while I hastily made discreet notes but he was more a grunter and rumbler than a conversationalists so I had to be quick!  These old tractors are wonderful workhorses that tow the fishing boats up the steep shingle.  I thought putting the two old 'things' together was enough to create a painting with a story.
